Avalon

— 2 nights
Avalon is the only incorporated city on Santa Catalina Island of the California Channel Islands, and the southernmost city in Los Angeles County. Avalon is known for nightlife, casinos, and wildlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: pause for some photo ops at Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden, admire the masterpieces at Catalina Island Museum, see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, and hike along Hermit Gulch Trail Loop.

Plan my trip to Avalon with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

San Diego to Avalon is an approximately 4.5-hour combination of train, taxi, and ferry. You can also do a combination of bus and ferry; or do a combination of flight and ferry. In March in Avalon, expect temperatures between 65°F during the day and 53°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
