Charlottesville

— 2 nights

Hoo-Ville

Situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Charlottesville is perhaps best known as the home of three of the United States' founding fathers, including Thomas Jefferson.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Charlottesville: Luray (Stony Man Mountain Overlook & Luray Caverns), Copper Fox Distillery (in Sperryville) and James Madison's Montpelier (in Montpelier Station). There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Monticello, learn the secrets of beer at a beer tour and tasting, get a taste of the local shopping with C'ville Arts: A Cooperative Gallery, and admire the landmark architecture of University of Virginia.

In April, daytime highs in Charlottesville are 69°F, while nighttime lows are 46°F.
