Chattanooga

Dynamo of Dixie

Once saddled with the reputation of being one of the country's dirtiest cities, Chattanooga now boasts a pedestrian-friendly downtown with a network of leafy waterfront trails and free electric shuttles.
Take a break from the city and head to Ruby Falls and Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. Museum-lovers will appreciate Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and Scottsboro Boys Museum & Cultural Center. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Chattanooga: Unclaimed Baggage (in Scottsboro) and Savannah Oaks Winery (in Delano). And it doesn't end there: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery, see the interesting displays at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, and awaken your taste buds at The Georgia Winery.

To find other places to visit, where to stay, photos, and tourist information, refer to the Chattanooga planner.

Expect a daytime high around 63°F in March, and nighttime lows around 42°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
