Emerald City
Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.Start off your visit on the 24th (Fri): get to know the resident critters at Woodland Park Zoo, take a leisurely stroll along Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, then stroll around Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Sky View Observatory. Keep things going the next day: find something for the whole family at Seattle Great Wheel, stroll around Kerry Park, then shop like a local with Starbucks Reserve Roastery Seattle, and finally stroll through Snoqualmie Falls.
