Hardy is an unincorporated community lying in Bedford County, Franklin County, and Roanoke County Virginia, United States, about twenty miles southeast of Roanoke. Family-friendly places like Virginia Safari Park and Smith Mountain Lake will thrill your kids. Get out of town with these interesting Hardy side-trips: Villa Appalaccia Winery (in Floyd), National D-Day Memorial (in Bedford), Natural Bridge (Foamhenge & The Natural Bridge of Virginia) and Mabry Mill (in Meadows of Dan). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Booker T. Washington National Monument.
