Eureka is the principal city and county seat of Humboldt County in the Redwood Empire region of California. Venture out of the city with trips to Patrick's Point State Park (in Trinidad) and Humboldt Redwoods State Park (in Weott). Next up on the itinerary: take a memorable drive along Redwood Highway, don't miss a visit to Old Town Eureka, explore and take pictures at Avenue of the Giants, and do a tasting at Clendenen's Cider Works.

To find reviews, other places to visit, and more tourist information, you can read our Eureka tour builder tool .

San Francisco to Eureka is an approximately 5-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from San Francisco in August, expect Eureka to be slightly colder, temps between 64°F and 54°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
