City of Firsts

A major center for tourism and travel, Baltimore is famous as the city where amateur poet Francis Scott Key wrote the lyrics for the United States' national anthem.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Mon): get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at National Aquarium, examine the collection at USS Torsk, and then try your luck at Horseshoe Casino. Keep things going the next day: learn about all things military at U.S. Naval Academy and then admire nature's wide array of creatures at Inner Harbor.

Washington DC to Baltimore is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. In June in Baltimore, expect temperatures between 85°F during the day and 69°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Ocean City.

One of the country's favorite vacation resorts, Ocean City draws nearly 8 million visitors annually with its oceanfront boardwalk, clean beaches, and amusement parks.
On the 23rd (Wed), enjoy the sand and surf at Ocean City Beach, get some thrills on the water with a speed boat tour, and then take in the waterfront at Ocean City Boardwalk.
