Paradise — 1 night

Paradise is an unincorporated community in Whitefish Township, Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan.Paradise is on the northeastern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on the western side of Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior, about 60mi by road from Sault Ste. Kick off your visit on the 1st (Fri): take an in-depth tour of Whitefish Point Light, then see the interesting displays at Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Tahquamenon Falls State Park.

Cherry Capital of the World

Traverse City might be well known for its huge cherry industry, but its position along Grand Traverse Bay in Lake Michigan endows it with fine scenery and a wealth of outdoor attractions.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): explore the striking landscape of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 3rd (Sun): wander the streets of Front Street, learn about winemaking at Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery, and then learn about winemaking at Chateau Chantal Winery & Tasting Room.

You can drive from Paradise to Traverse City in 3.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of car and bus; or do a combination of taxi and bus.
