Northbrook ©
Northbrook is an affluent suburb of Chicago, located at the northern edge of Cook County, Illinois, United States. When incorporated in 1901, the village was known as Shermerville in honor of Frederick Schermer, who donated the land for its first train station. Explore Northbrook's surroundings by going to Six Flags Great America (in Gurnee), Kenosha (Civil War Museum & Southport Light Station Museum) and Racine (SC Johnson Headquarters & Racine Zoo). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Baha'i House of Worship, stroll through River Trail Nature Center, enjoy the sea views from Grosse Point Lighthouse, and deepen your understanding at Northwestern University.
