Sometimes known as the "Buckle of the Bible Belt," Tulsa is the second largest city in Oklahoma.

Change things up with a short trip to Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve in Bartlesville (about 48 minutes away). There's still lots to do: admire the masterpieces at Philbrook Museum of Art, take in nature's colorful creations at Gilcrease Museum, enjoy some diversion at Gathering Place, and learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Tulsa Zoo.

Wichita to Tulsa is an approximately 3-hour car ride. You can also take a bus. In September, daily temperatures in Tulsa can reach 87°F, while at night they dip to 64°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Wed) early enough to drive back home.
