The capital city of Virginia, Richmond has diverse architecture, a large collection of monuments, and world-class museums that reveal the city's important role in American history.
On the 9th (Sun), explore the world behind art at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, get engrossed in the history at Agecroft Hall & Gardens, and then admire the majestic nature at Pocahontas State Park. Here are some ideas for day two: pause for some photo ops at Virginia War Memorial, then admire the masterpieces at Virginia Museum of History & Culture, and then let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour.
