San Antonio

The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Get a sense of the local culture at Briscoe Western Art Museum and The Alamo. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Hamilton Pool Preserve and The Guenther House Museum. When in San Antonio, make a side trip to see Jacob's Well Natural Area in Wimberley, approximately Wimberley away. The adventure continues: pause for some serene contemplation at St Joseph Catholic Church, take in the pleasant sights at The San Antonio River Walk, and get to know the fascinating history of King William Historic District.

In May, daily temperatures in San Antonio can reach 87°F, while at night they dip to 66°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
