Sapphire is an unincorporated community in Transylvania County, North Carolina, United States. Step off the beaten path and head to Skinny Dip Falls and Lake Glenville. Take a break from the city and head to Devil's Courthouse and Horsepasture River and Nature Trails. Change things up with these side-trips from Sapphire: Station Cove Falls (in Mountain Rest), Oconee Station State Historic Site (in Walhalla) and Courthouse Falls (in Rosman). There's lots more to do: admire the sheer force of King Creek Falls, hit the slopes at Sapphire Valley Ski Resort, and take in the dramatic natural features at Sunset Rock and Ravenel Park.
