Seattle — 2 nights

Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Your list of things to see and do now includes Seattle Great Wheel, Frye Art Museum, Bellevue Botanical Garden, and other attractions. On the 24th (Fri), admire the landmark architecture of Seattle Public Library, then ponder the design of Seattle Center, and then catch a concert at Benaroya Hall. Here are some ideas for day two: wander the streets of Pike Place Market, get in on the family fun at Seattle Great Wheel, then explore the world behind art at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and finally make a trip to Space Needle.

For where to stay, maps, traveler tips, and tourist information, read Seattle route maker website.

Tacoma to Seattle is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. In February in Seattle, expect temperatures between 50°F during the day and 40°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Sun) early enough to go by car back home.
