Tuscaloosa is a city in and the seat of Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama (in the southeastern United States). Venture out of the city with trips to Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park (in McCalla), Natural Bridge Park (in Natural Bridge) and Friendship Cemetery (in Columbus). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Paul W. Bryant Museum, walk around Moundville Archaeological Park, have fun and explore at Children's Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa, and stop by R&R Cigars.

For where to stay, reviews, maps, and other tourist information, go to the Tuscaloosa day trip planner.

In August, plan for daily highs up to 91°F, and evening lows to 71°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
