Durango — 1 day

On the 30th (Fri), get a dose of the wild on Durango Dog Ranch, then fly down the slopes at Purgatory Resort, and then get a taste of life in the country at James Ranch.

Lubbock to Durango is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus, car, shuttle, and taxi. The time zone changes from Central Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Lubbock in December: high temperatures in Durango hover around 40°F and lows are around 13°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Fri) to allow time to travel to Price.
