Houston to Valentine is an approximately 9.5-hour car ride. Traveling from Houston in March, Valentine is cooler at night with lows of 35°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Thu) so you can go by car to Big Bend National Park.

On the 8th (Fri), take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Chisos Mountains, see a world frozen in time at Terlingua, and then make a trip to Abandoned Contrabando Movie Set.
