Massive granite mountains, towering waterfalls, groves of Giant Sequoia trees, and wilderness as far as the eye can see distinguish the landscape of Yosemite National Park.
Get a sense of the local culture at Bodie State Historic Park and Bodie. Step off the beaten path and head to Glacier Point and El Capitan. Change things up with a short trip to Mono Lake Tufa State Natural Reserve in Lee Vining (about 1 hour away). The adventure continues: get great views at Tunnel View, trek along Tuolumne Meadows, explore and take pictures at Tioga Pass, and take in the dramatic natural features at Sentinel Dome.

Venture out of the city with trips to Big Sur (Coast Gallery Big Sur, McWay Falls, & more).
