Greenville is the county seat of Pitt County, principal city of the Greenville metropolitan area, and the 10th largest city in the state of North Carolina. Visit Barker House and Historic Oakwood for their historical value. Venture out of the city with trips to Swansboro (Riverfront Park, Swansboro, NC, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, & more), Beaufort (Island Express Ferry Service, North Carolina Maritime Museum, & more) and New Bern (New Bern Academy Museum, Birthplace of Pepsi-Cola, & more). There's still lots to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Sylvan Heights Bird Park, get curious at North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, make a trip to 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse, and immerse yourself in nature at Fort Macon State Park.

To see ratings, maps, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Greenville online road trip planner .

Expect a daytime high around 87°F in June, and nighttime lows around 67°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
