The Big Easy

Known for its Creole cuisine, rich musical tradition, and nearby swamps and plantations, New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest cities.
Get some cultural insight at French Quarter and Jackson Square. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like St. Louis Cathedral and Nottoway Plantation. Explore New Orleans' surroundings by going to Evergreen Plantation (in Edgard), Vacherie (St. Joseph Plantation, Oak Alley Plantation, &more) and Houmas House and Gardens (in Darrow). And it doesn't end there: appreciate the extensive heritage of Garden District, go on a hair-raising tour with a ghost and vampire tour, admire the landmark architecture of Destrehan Plantation, and take a stroll through Royal Street.
