Traveling from Cannon Beach in September, you will find days in Portland are a bit warmer (76°F), and nights are about the same (55°F). Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sun) so you can drive to Hood River.

Kick off your visit on the 25th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Fire Museum in City Hall, then see the interesting displays at Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail, and finally explore the activities along Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. While traveling from Portland, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Hood River, ranging from highs of 71°F to lows of 57°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to drive to Redmond.
