America's Finest City

Divided into neighborhoods with distinct characters and cultural heritages, San Diego sits just north of the Mexican border and offers visitors a blend of tourist attractions, including a lively nightlife, diverse cuisine, and a thriving musical scene.
Your inner history buff will appreciate BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and Point Loma. USS Midway Museum and Fort Rosecrans Cemetery are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Change things up with these side-trips from San Diego: Self Realization Fellowship Hermitage & Meditation Gardens (in Encinitas), Yanks Air Museum (in Chino) and Pacific Marine Mammal Center (in Laguna Beach). And it doesn't end there: look for all kinds of wild species at Lions, Tigers & Bears, pause for some serene contemplation at Saddleback Church, admire the striking features of Marston House Museum, and walk around La Jolla Cove.

To see ratings, other places to visit, reviews, and tourist information, read San Diego trip itinerary site.

Orlando to San Diego is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time to Pacific Standard Time is minus 3 hours. Traveling from Orlando in April, things will get little chillier in San Diego: highs are around 71°F and lows about 58°F. On the 18th (Sun), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Seattle.

Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get some historical perspective at Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum and Lake View Cemetery. Venture out of the city with trips to Mount Vernon (Roozengaarde Display Garden & Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve), Lake Wilderness Arboretum (in Maple Valley) and Tahoma National Cemetery (in Kent). Spend the 27th (Tue) wandering through the wild on Discover Nature. Dedicate the 20th (Tue) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's much more to do: explore the world behind art at Chihuly Garden and Glass, examine the collection at The Museum of Flight, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Saint James Cathedral, and stroll the grounds of Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home.
