Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Head to Hammer Museum and The Grovefor plenty of shopping. Appreciate the collections at The Getty Center and Craft & Folk Art Museum. Change things up with a short trip to Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica (about 30 minutes away). There's still lots to do: stroll through Venice Beach and Boardwalk, look and learn at Griffith Observatory, hunt for treasures at Olvera Street, and take a stroll through Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

Visit Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District and Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District for their historical value. Shop till you drop at Painting with a Twist and Mosaic Madness. Explore Dallas' surroundings by going to John Bunker Sands Wetland Center (in Seagoville), Main Event Entertainment (in Lewisville) and Grape Vine Springs Winery (in Grapevine).
