Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Rainbow Bridge National Monument and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Take a break from the city and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Antelope Canyon. Venture out of the city with trips to Marble Canyon (in Marble Canyon) and Navajo National Monument (in Shonto). There's lots more to do: take some stellar pictures from Horseshoe Bend, have fun at Gunfighter Canyon, and admire the engineering at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.

New York City to Page is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or drive. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. When traveling from New York City in May, plan for a bit warmer days in Page, with highs around 79°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 55°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Grand Canyon National Park.
