Visit Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and Carmel River State Beach for some beach relaxation. Step off the beaten path and head to Asilomar State Beach and Garrapata State Park. Get out of town with these interesting Carmel side-trips: Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz Main Beach & Natural Bridges State Beach). There's still lots to do: look for gifts at The Cheese Shop and kick back and relax at Point Lobos.
