Fort Lauderdale

— 30 nights

Venice of America

Known as the "Venice of America" because of its extensive network of navigable waterways, Fort Lauderdale welcomes over 10 million annual visitors, most of them attracted by the city's popular beaches and marinas.
Family-friendly places like Fort Lauderdale Beach and Museum of Discovery and Science will thrill your kids. Change things up with these side-trips from Fort Lauderdale: Miami Beach (Ocean Drive, South Beach, &more), Key Largo (Grecian Rocks, Capt. Sterling's Everglades Eco-Tours, &more) and Homestead (Black Point Park and Marina, Homestead Historic Town Hall Museum, &more). Spend the 23rd (Tue) exploring nature at Everglades National Park. There's still lots to do: get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, contemplate the waterfront views at Intracoastal Waterway, see the interesting displays at Bonnet House Museum and Gardens, and get outside with Lou's Hooked Up 2.

For where to stay, other places to visit, maps, and other tourist information, use the Fort Lauderdale trip itinerary planner.

In March, plan for daily highs up to 80°F, and evening lows to 65°F.
