In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Popular historic sites such as National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific and Shangri La are in your itinerary. Explore hidden gems such as Bellows Field Beach Park and Skydiving. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Waimanalo Beach (in Waimanalo), Kailua (Lanikai Pillboxes, Lanikai Beach, & more) and Kapolei (Dolphin & Whale Watching & Ko Olina Lagoons). There's still lots to do: get a tailor-made plan with Private Tours, tour the pleasant surroundings at Koko Crater Railway Trail, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and explore the different monuments and memorials at USS Arizona Memorial.
