Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Explore hidden gems such as Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum and Washington Square Park. Step out of the city life by going to Speed Boats Tours and Horse-Drawn Carriage Tours. Venture out of the city with trips to Great Neck Steppingstone Park (in Great Neck) and Hyde Park (Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt & Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site). There's much more to do: take in the pleasant sights at Central Park, walk around World Trade Center's Liberty Park, enjoy breathtaking views from Empire State Building, and take a stroll through Greenwich Village.
