Sydney, Australia to Miami is an approximately 24-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of train and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 15 hours traveling from Sydney to Miami. In July, Miami is much warmer than Sydney - with highs of 38°C and lows of 30°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Key Largo.

Key Largo

The northernmost island of the Florida Keys, Key Largo provides stunning scenery, a number of watersports opportunities, and plenty of areas to relax on vacation.
Take a break from the city and head to Fishing Charters & Tours and Scuba & Snorkeling. Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Audubon House & Tropical Gardens and Truman Little White House. Head to Alan S. Maltz Gallery and Sunset Celebrationfor plenty of shopping. Step out of Key West to go to Big Pine Key and see National Key Deer Refuge, which is approximately 50 minutes away.
