Poipū is a census-designated place in Kauai County on the southern side of the island of Kauai in the U.S. Family-friendly places like Baby Beach and Mahaulepu Beach will thrill your kids. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail and Makawehi Bluff. Change things up with a short trip to Canyon Trail in Waimea (about 46 minutes away).
