Honolulu

— 16 nights

Big Pineapple

In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Venture out of the city with trips to Pupukea (Ehukai Beach Park, Sharks Cove, &more), Kailua (Kailua Beach Park & Lanikai Beach) and Haleiwa (Waimea Bay, Haleiwa Beach Park, &more). There's still lots to do: go for a walk through Diamond Head State Monument, admire the sheer force of Manoa Falls, contemplate the long history of Iolani Palace, and see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.
