Louisville

— 31 nights

Derby City

Kentucky’s largest city, Louisville, is best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby.
Attractions like Louisville Mega Cavern and Children's Museum of Indianapolis make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Louisville side-trips: Cincinnati (Mushroom House, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, &more), Mammoth Cave National Park (Tall Man's Misery, Fat Man's Misery, &more) and Indianapolis (Central Canal, Indianapolis Zoo, &more). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 18th (Sun) at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, steep yourself in history at Conrad-Caldwell House Museum (Conrad's Castle), relax in the rural setting at Taylor Made Farm, and get to know the resident critters at Louisville Zoo.
