Emerald City
Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.Explore Seattle's surroundings by going to Bainbridge Island (Bainbridge Island Museum of Art & Bainbridge Brewing), Tacoma (Foss Waterway Seaport, Washington State History Museum, &more) and U.S. Naval Undersea Museum (in Keyport). Spend the 13th (Sat) wandering through the wild on Discover Nature. Dedicate the 23rd (Tue) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. Next up on the itinerary: take in panoramic vistas at Space Needle, see the interesting displays at The Museum of Flight, explore the world behind art at Seattle Art Museum, and pause for some photo ops at Fremont Troll.
