Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Fort Zachary Taylor and Bahia Honda State Park. Step out of the city life by going to The Overseas Highway and The Turtle Hospital. Get out of town with these interesting Key West side-trips: Dolphin Research Center (in Grassy Key) and Sombrero Beach (in Marathon). Spend the 19th (Sun) exploring nature at Dry Tortugas National Park. In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
