Atlanta — 32 nights

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Atlanta: Stone Mountain Park (in Stone Mountain), Blue Ridge (Zipline & Mercier Orchards) and Chattanooga (Ghost & Vampire Tours, Tennessee Aquarium, &more). Dedicate the 10th (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, examine the collection at World of Coca-Cola, meet the residents at Zoo Atlanta, and take in nature's colorful creations at Atlanta Botanical Garden.

To find where to stay, traveler tips, reviews, and tourist information, refer to the Atlanta day trip tool.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dobbins Air Reserve Base and Robins Air Force Base. In July, daily temperatures in Atlanta can reach 37°C, while at night they dip to 26°C.
