Dallas

— 32 nights

Big D

One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Get out of town with these interesting Dallas side-trips: Fort Worth (Leonard's Department Store Museum, Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, &more), Frisco (Texas Sculpture Garden & National Videogame Museum) and John Bunker Sands Wetland Center (in Seagoville). Pack the 24th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Six Flags Over Texas. There's lots more to do: stroll around Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, explore the world behind art at Dallas Museum of Art, observe the fascinating underwater world at The Dallas World Aquarium, and pause for some photo ops at Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District.

To see other places to visit, traveler tips, where to stay, and more tourist information, read Dallas road trip site.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Love Field, Fort Worth Meacham International Airport and Fort Worth Alliance Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 11°C.
