Pittsburgh — 33 nights

Known primarily for its steel-related heritage and 446 bridges, Pittsburgh sits at the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River.
Explore Pittsburgh's surroundings by going to Somerset (Jager and Friends Dog Park & Laurel Hill State Park), Flight 93 Memorial Chapel (in Stonycreek Township) and Flight 93 National Memorial (in Stoystown). On the 5th (Mon), spend a day ambling around Mill Creek Park. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Fallingwater, stroll through Mount Washington, take an in-depth tour of Senator John Heinz History Center, and observe the fascinating underwater world at Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.

In June, plan for daily highs up to 79°F, and evening lows to 62°F.
