Wall is a town in Pennington County, South Dakota, United States. Visiting Notch Trail and Yellow Mounds Overlook will get you outdoors. Discover out-of-the-way places like Roberts Prairie Dog Town and Big Badlands Overlook. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Wall: Badlands National Park (Prairie Wind Overlook, Cliff Shelf Nature Trailhead, &more), Murdo (South Dakota's Original 1880 Town & Pioneer Auto Museum) and Hurley Butte Horseback Riding (in Interior). Spend the 7th (Mon) exploring nature at Badlands National Park. There's still lots to do: hike along Castle Trail, explore the wealth of natural beauty at Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, take some stellar pictures from Pinnacles Overlook, and steep yourself in history at Prairie Homestead.

Alamogordo to Wall is an approximately 10-hour combination of bus and flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Alamogordo in August, Wall is little chillier at night with lows of °F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 10th (Thu) to allow time for the car ride to Deadwood.

Deadwood is a city in South Dakota, United States, and the county seat of Lawrence County. Escape the urban bustle at Roughlock Falls State Nature Area and Deadwood Trailhead George S. Drive from Wall to Deadwood in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi. The time zone changes from Mountain Standard Time (MST) to Central Standard Time (CST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. When traveling from Wall in September, plan for slightly colder days in Deadwood, with highs around °F, while nights are about the same with lows around °F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) so you can drive to Custer.

Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary and Black Hills Aerial Adventures. Take a break from the city and head to Black Hills Balloons and Stockade Lake. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Custer: Elk Mountain Nature Trail (in Wind Cave National Park), Hill City (Stone Faces Winery, Brule, &more) and Hot Springs (J.H. Keith Park and Whitney Preserve at Cascade Springs, Pioneer Museum, &more).
