A genuine cowboy city, Cody is famous for its nightly rodeos and its proximity to the protected wilderness areas of the world's first national park, now designated as one of the country's World Heritage Sites.
Get out of town with these interesting Cody side-trips: Red Lodge (Red Lodge Mountain, Basin Creek Lakes Trail, & more), Cooke City (Cooke City Montana Museum, Cooke City General Store, & more) and Yellowstone National Park (Artist Point, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, & more). Spend the 16th (Thu) exploring nature at Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Buffalo Bill Center of the West, have fun at Cody Firearms Experience, LLC, hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour, and take an in-depth tour of Museum of the Plains Indian.

To find photos, traveler tips, reviews, and more tourist information, refer to the Cody day trip app .

In July in Cody, expect temperatures between 83°F during the day and 58°F at night. You will leave for home on the 27th (Mon).
