For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
You'll get in some beach time at Sun Bay Beach and Media Luna Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Marauder Sailing Charters - Private Tours and La Chiva. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Caracas Beach, stroll through Navio Beach, indulge in some personalized pampering at Beatriz Beauty Boutique, and trot along with a tour on horseback.

Orocovis is a municipality of Puerto Rico located in the Central Mountain Range, north of Villalba and Coamo; south of Morovis and Corozal; southeast of Ciales; east of Jayuya; and west of Barranquitas. Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sun): enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Los Tubos and then stroll through Playa La Cueva Las Golondrinas. Here are some ideas for day two: play a few rounds at Bahia Beach Plantation and then push the limits with Toro Verde.
