Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
Step off the beaten path and head to Gunfighter Canyon and Glen Canyon Dam Overlook. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Page: Marble Canyon (in Marble Canyon) and Grand Canyon National Park (Cape Royal & Bright Angel Point). Spend the 7th (Wed) exploring nature at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Rainbow Bridge National Monument, stop by Big Lake Trading Post, take some stellar pictures from Horseshoe Bend, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Lone Rock Beach.
