Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Surf Lake Powell. Escape the urban bustle at Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Step out of Page to go to Shonto and see Navajo National Monument, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. There's much more to do: see human ingenuity at work at The Chains, head outdoors with Wahweap Overlook, browse the collection at Page Public Library, and enjoy some diversion at Gunfighter Canyon.
