Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, the whole town of Eureka Springs is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sun): walk around Basin Spring Park and then pause for some photo ops at Christ of the Ozarks. Here are some ideas for day two: take in the spiritual surroundings of Thorncrown Chapel, then look for all kinds of wild species at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, then get engrossed in the history at The Walmart Museum, and finally explore the world behind art at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Oklahoma City to Eureka Springs is an approximately 5-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or do a combination of bus and taxi. While traveling from Oklahoma City, expect a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Eureka Springs, ranging from highs of 82°F to lows of 62°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 2nd (Mon) early enough to drive to Hot Springs.
