The Capital of the South

Georgia’s largest city and capital, Atlanta is a thriving metropolis anchored by its southern roots.
Visiting Stone Mountain Park and Silver Comet Trail will get you outdoors. Museum-lovers will get to explore World of Coca-Cola and Booth Western Art Museum. There's lots more to do: browse the exhibits of National Center for Civil and Human Rights, steep yourself in history at Centennial Olympic Park, let little ones run wild at Abernathy Greenway Park, and admire the majestic nature at Chastain Park.

For where to stay, more things to do, other places to visit, and other tourist information, refer to the Atlanta travel tool.

Miami to Atlanta is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and subway. Prepare for colder weather when traveling from Miami in February: high temperatures in Atlanta hover around 59°F and lows are around 40°F. You will have some time to spend on the 15th (Mon) before leaving for home.
