Augusta

— 3 nights
Augusta–Richmond County is a consolidated city-county on the central eastern border of the U.S. state of Georgia, and located on the Savannah River, at the head of its navigable portion. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Redcliffe Plantation State and Magnolia Cemetery. For shopping fun, head to Cyndi's Sweet Shoppe or Riverfront Antique Mall. Explore Augusta's surroundings by going to Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame and Museum (in Aiken), Washington (Washington Historical Museum & Callaway Plantation) and A.H. Stephens State Historic Park (in Crawfordville). And it doesn't end there: make a trip to The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, appreciate the extensive heritage of Riverwalk, examine the collection at Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History, and appreciate the history behind Signer's Monument.
