Austin

— 3 nights

Live Music Capital of the World

Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at The San Antonio River Walk and Wild About Music. Do some cultural sightseeing at National Museum of the Pacific War and LBJ Presidential Library. Get out of town with these interesting Austin side-trips: Wine Tours & Tastings (in Fredericksburg) and San Antonio (San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral & The Alamo). There's still lots to do: hike along Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail, get engrossed in the history at Bullock Texas State History Museum, admire the striking features of The Driskill, and snap pictures at Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats.
