Austin — 3 nights

Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Texas State Cemetery and Duchman Family Winery. Visiting Hamilton Pool Preserve and Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site will get you outdoors. When in Austin, make a side trip to see William Chris Vineyards in Hye, approximately Hye away. There's lots more to do: gain a rich perspective with Bike and Brew ATX, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Mary's Cathedral, contemplate the waterfront views at Town Lake, and glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

Before you visit Austin, use our trip planner to discover what you can do and see there.

In May, plan for daily highs up to 85°F, and evening lows to 65°F.
