Bandera is the county seat of Bandera County, Texas, United States, in the Texas Hill Country, which is part of the Edwards Plateau. Change things up with these side-trips from Bandera: Louise Hays Park (in Kerrville) and Fredericksburg (National Museum of the Pacific War, Wine Tours & Tastings, & more). There's lots more to do: trot along with a tour on horseback, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, walk around Western Trail Heritage Park, and wander the wide-open spaces of Dixie Dude Ranch.

To see maps, more things to do, where to stay, and tourist information, read our Bandera trip itinerary maker tool .

In October, daily temperatures in Bandera can reach 82°F, while at night they dip to 56°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
