Preferred Gateway to Yellowstone

A genuine cowboy city, Cody is famous for its nightly rodeos and its proximity to the protected wilderness areas of the world's first national park, now designated as one of the country's World Heritage Sites.
Rocky Mountain Backroads Adventure LLC has been added to your itinerary. Attractions like Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and Old Trail Town make great kid-friendly stops. Change things up with these side-trips from Cody: Yellowstone National Park (Lookout Point & Brink of the Lower Falls Trail) and Thermopolis (Wyoming Dinosaur Center & The Star Plunge). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Buffalo Bill Center of the West, grab your bike and head to Paul Stock Nature Trail, admire the engineering at Buffalo Bill Dam, and look for gifts at Sierra Trading Post.

To find where to stay, more things to do, photos, and other tourist information, go to the Cody trip planner.

Expect a daytime high around 75°F in June, and nighttime lows around 51°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
