Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Tue): meet the residents at Denver Zoo, then admire the natural beauty at Denver Botanic Gardens, then admire the masterpieces at Denver Art Museum, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Trinity United Methodist Church. Keep things going the next day: see the sky in a new way at Denver Museum of Nature & Science, steep yourself in history at Molly Brown House Museum, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Evans.
